Combat lethargy and that midday slump with these natural ways to boost energy.

Sometimes you just need a little jolt of energy, whether it’s to help you move in the morning or power through the end of the workday. More often than not, we opt for the wrong pick-me-up solutions.Sugar is a classic ‘energy loan shark’ that gives you a quick burst of energy, and soon after you’re crashing. Instead of faux fixes, here are five easy and natural ways to nourish your body and give you a boost of energy! Sugar is a classic ‘energy loan shark’ that gives you a quick burst of energy, and soon after you’re crashing. Coffee may seem like an obvious instant fix, but it can actually wear us out quicker, leaving us lethargic in the afternoon. before you down those cups of coffee with packets of sugar with the goal of keeping your eyes open, here are five easy and natural ways to nourish your body and give you a boost of energy.

Drink water

If you’re feeling sluggish, there’s a good chance that you’re dehydrated. Almost every system in our body requires water to function properly. As a result, if you don’t have enough water, you slow down. Make sure that you have a good water supply to keep sipping throughout the day.

Take a walk

Head outside for a 10-minute walk to wake up! Even just a few minutes of fresh air, vitamin D, and gentle exercise will have you feeling revitalized within minutes. This is a great opportunity to take your furry four-legged friend on an extra walk! They may appreciate it more than you know.

Sip on coffee

One cup of coffee a day should suffice to wake you up.  There’s no need to finish off the pot of coffee! However, be careful of drinking too much. Although relatively harmless, an addiction to coffee is a very real, biological addiction. Coffee may assist in relieving that headache, but still try to mix things up with tea and other beverages on occasion.

Workout midday

Does your day allow you to hit the gym to combat your drowsiness in the afternoon?  My workday doesn’t really allow it… but, studies suggest that working out can actually increase productivity enough to counteract that time away from the office.  Hmm, food for thought.

Now that you have your energy back, it’s time to get your home sold or your dream house bought. If you’re experiencing real estate stress, take a load off by hiring a professional to help locate the right home for you. Contact Jenn Blake Real Estate Group at Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty in San Diego, California at 858-663-6788.
